I know that bank holiday working especially at such a homely time of year causes a great deal of personal re-organisation which I am grateful for and without which the commissioning would not have been the outstanding success it was. I was proud to see so many of you in such good spirits on Christmas morning despite the cold.

To enable Harrow to be a success we had to pull together as a team. Last minute changes to design and access issues made the run up to the commissioning extra stressful. We overcame all the issues and successful brought 73 new track circuits and 20 position detectors into service. This commissioning was one of the single biggest in staff numbers for decades.

It was such an important event I have included some comments I received.
